Ingredients

  • 1/2 liter - milk
  • 100 g - seedless dates
  • 100 g - sugar
  • 6 tbsp - condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp - ghee
  • 2 tbsp - chopped cashew nuts

How to Make Date Halwa

  • Soak dates in half cup of water for about 2 hours then grind to a paste.
  • Heat milk. Add the dates and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the sugar, condensed milk, ghee and cashew nuts. Cook till the mixture forms a mass in the centre of the pan.
  • Transfer to a glass dish and decorate with a few chopped nuts.
