  • Masoor dal - 1 cup
  • Onion, sliced - 1
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • Garlic and Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  • Red chillies (ground paste) - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry

How to Make Dhal Chur Curry

  • Wash and soak dal.
  • Heat oil and saute onions.
  • Add the remaining ingredients (except lime juice) and saute them.
  • Add dal and fry for a while. Cover with sufficient water.
  • Add salt and simmer till dal is cooked and dry. Remove from fire.
  • Add lime juice, and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve as side dish for chapatis.
