Ingredients

  • 20 small-sized potatoes (boiled and peeled)
  • 3 medium-sized onions (sliced)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 100g coriander leaves (made into a paste)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • a pinch of turmeric powder
  • oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Dhania Aloo

  • Put oil in a kadai, fry the peeled potatoes till they are half brown.
  • Remove the potatoes from the oil.
  • Put in a bay leaf and 2 red chillies in the oil.
  • Fry sliced onion and paste of garlic.
  • Add the coriander powder and a pinch of turmeric powder.
  • Add potatoes and paste of coriander leaves and stir well.
  • Cook covered, stirring occasionally till the potatoes are well done.
  • Add some water if required.
