Ingredients

  • 2 cups - gooseberry (star variety)
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp - salt
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar
  • 1 tbsp - sugar

How to Make Dried Gooseberry Pickle

  • Wash the gooseberries and dry them well.
  • Soak them with salt and leave them in the sun, for a week.
  • When the gooseberries shrivel up and change colour, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Bottle and use when required.
