  • 3 - drumsticks, tender
  • 2 - potatoes
  • 1 cup - finely chopped, onions
  • 1/3 cup - chopped, tomatoes
  • 1 - green chilli
  • 1 sprig - curry leaves
  • A pinch - mustard
  • A pinch - cumin
  • 3 - crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp - red chilli power
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Water

How to Make Drumstick tomato curry with potatoes

  • Heat oil in a deep pan, splutter mustard and cumin, add curry leaves and green chilli and saute
  • Add the onions, salt and fry till they turn golden
  • Add drumsticks, potatoes and fry for 2 to 3 mins to remove the raw smell.
  • Add tomatoes and turmeric, fry till the tomatoes become completely soft and pulpy
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garlic and saute for a minute
  • Pour water and cook on a medium flame till the drumsticks are thoroughly cooked.
  • For egg lovers:
  • When the drumsticks are half cooked, roast the eggs in a tsp of oil in a separate pan and drop them in the curry and cook till the drumsticks are completely done.
