Payasam or Kheer is usually a crowd-pleaser with tempting ingredients and this specific sweet is packed with the goodness of assorted dry fruits like cashewnuts, pista, dates, raisins, almonds and walnuts. 

The dry fruit paste is boiled with milk, sugar and cardamom powder for a mouth-watering Payasam. Serve it cold or hot as you wish!

How to Make Dry Fruit Payasam

  • In a bowl, add all the dry fruits except almonds. Add hot water. Soak for 5 minutes.
  • Soak the almonds separately in hot water for 5 minutes. Peel the skin and set aside.
  • In a blender, add all the dry fruits and make a paste. Pour the paste in a heavy pan.
  • Add milk, sugar and cardamom powder and boil till medium thick. Serve hot or cold as you wish.
