Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 - potatoes
  • 4 - bread slices
  • 1.5 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - dhania powder (coriander)
  • Oil to fry
  • Salt to taste
  • For garnishing:
  • 1 - onion (cut into long thin slices)
  • 50g - ginger (chopped into small pieces or grated)
  • 1 - small radish (grated)
  • Imli chutney
  • Curd

How to Make Easy Aloo Tikkies

  • Boil and peel the potatoes and put them in a bowl.
  • Add garam masala, dhania powder, salt, and chilli powder to the potatoes.
  • Take the bread slices in your hand and put them in the water for few seconds.
  • Then press them with your hands to take out the excess water and add them to the potatoes.
  • Mix and knead all the ingredients in the bowl (potatoes, masalas, bread) into pliable dough.
  • Take a griddle and heat around 4 to 5 tbsp oil.
  • Take around 2 tbsp of the dough and shape it into patties.
  • Shallow-fry patties till both sides are golden brown.
  • Drizzle more oil if required.
  • Garnish it with a drizzle of imli chutney and a teaspoon of curd, and a bit of onions, ginger, and radish on the side.
