Ingredients

  • 1 Beet [ grated raw ]
  • Mustard seeds [ rai or mohari ]
  • Cumin seeds [ jeera ]
  • 5 - 6 leaves of kari patta
  • 4 - 5 tbsp of yogurt [ curd ]
  • Asafoetida [ hing ]
  • 1/4 tbsp of green chilli [ finely chopped ]
  • 2 tbsp of ghee or oil
  • Sugar and salt [ as required ]

How to Make Easy Beetroot Raita

  • First take 2 tbsp of oil in a small pan. Heat the oil.
  • Add Mustard and Cumin seeds and let them flutter.
  • Add asafoetida and karipatta.
  • Add finely chopped green chilli.
  • Add the oil to grated beetroot.
  • Add salt, sugar and curd to beetroot.
  • Mix well.
