  • 250 g - okra
  • 3 - potatoes
  • 4 - green chillies
  • 10 - flakes garlic
  • 1/2 inch - ginger
  • 1/2 bunch - coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp -turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3 - tomatoes

How to Make Easy Bhindi Masala

  • Snip off the top and tail of the okra, chop it into 1cm pieces and keep aside.
  • Boil the potatoes and cut into small pieces.
  • Grind the red chillies with some water and the tamarind to make a paste.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry the chopped onions till light brown.
  • Add the potato pieces, salt, red chilli-tamarind paste.
  • Add a little water and bring to a boil and then let it simmer for 10-15 mins till a thick gravy is formed.
  • Add in the okra, check seasoning, and cook until the okra is done.
