  • 1 kg - fish, cut into slices
  • 2 medium-sized - onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 2 tsp - garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar
  • salt
  • 1 sprig - curry leaves (optional)
  • 2 - tomatoes, pureed or chopped finely
  • 2 tbsp - oil

How to Make Easy Fish vindaloo

  • Wash the fish well and lightly fry it in a little oil till the pieces become firm.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the curry leaves and onions and fry it till they are light brown in colour.
  • Add the garlic paste and saute for a while.
  • Add the chilli powder, cumin powder, tomato puree and salt and fry for some time.
  • Add the fish and vinegar and mix it well.
  • Add just a little more water and cook till the gravy is slightly thick.
