Ingredients

  • Dried raw mango pieces - 7 to 8
  • Tamarind - size of a medium lemon
  • Red chilli - 3
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Rice - 1 tsp
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Oil - 2 tsp

How to Make Easy Mango Kuzhambu

  • Fry red chilli, urad dal, rice and pepper.
  • Boil mango pieces and tamarind in a little water till soft.
  • After it cools down, grind it along with the fried ingredients to a smooth paste.
  • Add little water to the paste and boil it, add salt.
  • When the paste turns to a thick gravy, remove from fire.
  • In a pan, add a little oil, mustard seeds and jeera.
  • Pour it over the kuzhambu.
  • Garnish it with curry leaves.
