  • 100 gms. molasses (jaggery)
  • 400 ml. water
  • 2 cardamoms
  • A small pinch salt
  • 1 tsp. dry ginger powder
  • ½ lime or 10 gms. tamarind

How to Make Easy Panakam

  • Dissolve enough molasses in water to make it sweet. Strain.
  • Add salt, dry ginger powder and crushed cardamoms and if desired, a little lime juice.
  • Chill in freezer for an hour and serve cold.
  • Note:
  • Fresh ripe tamarind can be soaked in water and strained and added instead of lime juice.
