  • 1 ½ cups yoghurt
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 4 cups cooked rice, at room temperature
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp.minced green pepper
  • ½ tsp. grated ginger
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. mustard seeds
  • 1 bay leaf, crumbled

How to Make Easy Yoghurt Rice

  • Combine yoghurt, buttermilk, salt, green pepper, grated ginger and cayenne pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly. Combine with rice.
  • Heat vegetable oil and fry mustard seeds and crumbled bay leaf until seeds pop.
  • Stir into rice. Serve cold with pickle.
