Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 onions
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp - ginger, grated
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 3 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 3-4 black cardamom
  • 4-5 cinnamon
  • 4-5 red chillies
  • pulp of 2 tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp. - oil
  • 1 tsp - poppy seed paste
  • 3 potatoes, fried.

How to Make Egg curry in Poppy Seed Paste

  • Chop onions, garlic and ginger, and grind to a paste.
  • Heat oil, add cardamom, cinnamon and red chillies. Add hard boiled eggs and fry a little. Remove from oil.
  • Add onion and poppy seed paste and fry. Dissolve masala and salt in 1/2 cup of water and add to the paste. Add green chilli and tomatoes and fry well.
  • Add fried potatoes and water, and cook till potatoes are tender. Add egg halves and boil for 2 mins.
  • Sprinkle coriander (chopped) and serve with roti or naan.
