Ingredients

  • 6 - egg
  • 1/2 - coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin
  • 1 pinch - turmeric
  • 2 tbsp - ghee
  • 2 - onions
  • 1 inch piece - ginger, sliced
  • 4 - green chillies, sliced
  • 2 - tomatoes, cut into cubes
  • 200 g - green peas
  • 1 tbsp - vinegar to taste
  • 2 tsp - salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup - coriander leaves, chopped

How to Make Egg Molee

  • Hard boil the eggs and cut into halves and keep aside
  • Now grind the coconut with cumin and turmeric and extract the thick juice and keep aside
  • Then add 1.5 cups of water to the coconut pulp, grind it again, and extract the remaining thin juice
  • Now cut tomatoes into cubes. Keep aside
  • Then warm ghee in a pan, and saute the sliced onion until brown
  • Now add the thin juice with rest of the sliced masala, tomatoes, and the green peas
  • Boil until the green peas are tender
  • Add the salt, vinegar and the thick juice and stir well.
  • Let it boil for 5 mins
  • Then add the egg pieces and remove from the fire
  • Serve with rice or chapattis.
