Ingredients

  • 12 - eggs, hard boiled
  • 3 tbsp - vinegar
  • 6 - peppercorns ground in vinegar
  • 1 piece - cinnamon, ground in vinegar
  • 1 inch piece - ginger, ground in vinegar
  • 6 cloves - garlic, grind in vinegar
  • 1 inch piece - turmeric, ground in vinegar
  • 2 - onions, ground in vinegar
  • 1 tbsp - cumin, ground in vinegar
  • 10 - dry red chillies, ground in vinegar
  • 2 pods - cardamom, ground in vinegar
  • 6 - cloves, ground in vinegar
  • 1 ball - tamarind, ground in vinegar
  • 1 tbsp - ghee
  • 1 - onion, sliced and fried in ghee
  • 3 sprigs - coriander leaves
  • 2 - boiled potato

How to Make Egg Vindaloo

  • Hard boil the eggs and cut into halves and keep aside.
  • Now grind the masala in the vinegar.
  • Then heat the ghee in a pan and saute the sliced onions for the seasoning until brown
  • Add the coriander leaves and stir
  • Add the masala and saute in the same vessel. Stir frequently.
  • Now add the egg and salt and cover the vessel
  • Cut the boiled potatoes into four and add them to the eggs
  • Simmer for ten minutes
  • Serve with rice or chapattis
