  • 1 cup - Whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup - Barley flour
  • 1 tbsp - Flax seed meal
  • 1/4 cup - Apple sauce
  • 2 tbsp - Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup - Honey
  • 1 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups - Milk

How to Make Eggless Sugarfree Whole-wheat Barley Waffles

  • Preheat the waffle maker.
  • Mix the flaxseed meal in warm water to form a thick paste.
  • Sieve together the flours and baking powder.
  • Beat together the flaxseed meal paste, honey, apple sauce, vanilla extract, oil and milk.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and turn into a batter.
  • Pour batter into the waffle maker and bake.
  • Serve with a cup of warm milk and nutella spread, jam or maple or agave syrup.
