  • 8 fillets - Pomfrets or any other white fish, sliced
  • 3 - Onions
  • 6 slices - Garlic
  • 4 - Red chillies
  • 6 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Cumin
  • 1 bunch - Coriander
  • 4 large - Tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 1/2 cup - Sweet oil

How to Make Fish Fillet in Gravy

  • Grind red chillies, cumin and turmeric and apply to the fish.
  • Chop onions, green chillies, garlic.
  • Wash tomatoes and chop fine.
  • Heat oil and fry the fish in it on both sides, remove from oil and keep aside; in the same oil, fry onions till brown; then add chopped chillies, garlic, and tomatoes and 1/2 cup water.
  • Bring to a boil, then place fried fish in it and simmer until the fish is cooked and the gravy is thick.
  • Add lemon juice and serve, sprinkled with coriander.
