Ingredients

  • 350 gm - fish fillet (cut into cubes)
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Marinade:
  • 2 tbsp - flour
  • 1 tbsp - corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp - white pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp - ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - corn flour for dusting
  • 1/2 cup - spring onions
  • 8 thin slices of ginger
  • 1 cup - fish stock
  • 1/4 tsp - ajinomoto pinch turmeric powder or yellow food coloring
  • 1/4 tsp - white pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp - lemon rind, grated
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp - corn flour, dissolved in half cup water
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - honey
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Fish in Lemon Sauce

  • Marinate fish with the marinade ingredients and refrigerate for an hour.
  • Dust with corn flour and deep fry. Keep warm.
  • To make lemon sauce:
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the spring onions and sliced ginger. Saute for 30 seconds.
  • Add stock, ajinomoto, grated lemon rind, salt and turmeric powder.
  • Simmer for 30 seconds.
  • Add the corn flour and honey and let it simmer for another 30 seconds.
  • Now add the lemon juice, check seasoning and if required add more.
  • Place dish on a serving platter and pour the sauce over it.
