Ingredients

  • fish slices (use any big flaky fish) - 1/2 kg
  • onion - 1 cup, minced
  • garlic - 2 tsp, minced
  • green chillies - 1 tbsp, minced
  • ginger - 1 tsp, minced
  • cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste

How to Make Fish Sambal

  • Steam the fish till cooked.
  • Cool, remove the skin and bones and flake the fish.
  • Combine all the ingredients from onion to salt together and mix with the fish.
  • Sprinkle grated coconut on top.
  • Serve as an accompaniment to rice and curry.
