Ingredients

  • For Fritters:
  • Gaith dal 200 gms
  • Chopped ginger 15 gms
  • Chopped green chillies 10 gms
  • Chopped coriander 5 gms
  • Julienne spinach leaves 20 gms
  • Salt 3gms
  • Red chilli powder 2 gms
  • Gram flour 10 gms
  • Asafoetida A pinch
  • Refined oil For frying
  • For Salad:
  • Rocket leaves 30 gms
  • Cherry tomato 5 gms
  • Chopped pineapple 10 gms
  • Chopped pears 10 gms
  • Chopped apple 10 gms
  • Chopped strawberry 10 gms
  • Salt 2 gms
  • Black pepper 2 gms
  • Olive oil 2-3 ml
  • Lemon juice 2 ml
  • For Mint Chutney:
  • Mint 50 gms
  • Coriander 30 gms
  • Green chilli 10 gms
  • Ginger 10 gms
  • Lemon(whole) 3-4
  • Himalyan salt As per requirement
  • For Tomato and Peanut Chutney:
  • Roasted tomatoes 50 gms
  • Peanut 10 gms
  • Sesamic seeds 5 gms
  • Ginger 3 gms
  • Garlic 3 gms
  • Green chillies 4 gms
  • Salt 2 gms
  • Lemon juice 5 ml

How to Make Gaith Dal Fritters with Himalyan Chutney

  • Soak gaith dal overnight. Grind well, it should not be finely grained, should be left coarse.
  • Mix in chopped onions, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander, julienne spinach and add the seasoning required.
  • Use gram flour for binding, make small round shaped fritters and keep aside.
  • Prepare mint chutney by combining all the mentioned ingredients. Adjust the seasoning and keep aside.
  • Prepare peanut chutney by combining all the mentioned ingredients and keep aside.
  • Make a salad by mixing mentioned ingredients and keep aside.
  • Deep fry the fritters. Plating to be done as shown in the above image.
