  • 2 cups - maida
  • 1 1/2 tbsp - poppy seeds
  • 4 tbsp - ground sugar
  • 5 tbsp - ghee

How to Make Gajja

  • Mix together maida, poppy seeds and sugar.
  • Rub in ghee and add enough water to form a soft dough.
  • Divide the dough into small balls and shape each ball into a long finger.
  • Press a little in the centre with your thumb and deep fry in ghee till crisp and golden.
  • Drain, cool and store in air tight container.
