Ingredients

  • Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
  • Asafetida powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 45 ml
  • Ginger - 100 gm, peeled and chopped
  • Green chillies - 20 gm, thinly sliced
  • Salt - 20 gm
  • Lime juice - 45 ml

How to Make Ginger and Green Chilli Pickle

  • Powder mustard seeds and mix with asafoetida and turmeric powder.
  • Heat the oil and add ginger and chillies.
  • After few seconds add all the powders and mix well and remove from fire.
  • Add salt. When the mixture cools, stir in the lime juice.
  • Leave to mature for 24 hours at room temperature.
  • Then transfer to clean jar and store in refrigerator.
