Ingredients

  • 85 gms. ginger (bruised)
  • 2 litres water
  • ½ tbsp. brewed yeast
  • 1 tsp. orange flower water
  • 1.35 kg. sugar
  • 300 ml. lemon juice
  • 4 whole peel of lemons
  • 1 tsp. essence of lemon

How to Make Ginger Beer

  • Boil ginger in water for 20 minutes.
  • Add sugar, lemon juice and peel and boil again. Strain very carefully.
  • Let it cool gradually, when tepid, drop in yeast and allow to become cold.
  • Add orange flower water and essence of lemon.
  • Note:
  • This ginger beer should stand for 4 days. If bottled tightly, it will keep for 3-4 months.
