Ingredients

  • 1 cup - fresh grated coconut
  • 3/4 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 2 inch to 3 inch piece - fresh ginger
  • 2 cups - curds
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 3 to 4 - curry leaves
  • a pinch - hing
  • salt to taste

How to Make Ginger Thambuli

  • Grind grated coconut, pepper powder, and ginger to a smooth paste.
  • Add curd and salt and mix well. If the mixture becomes very thick, add water to get the desired consistency.
  • Temper mustard, hing, and curry leaves and add to the mixture.
  • Serve with hot rice.
