Ingredients

  • 100g - fresh tender ginger
  • 100g - tamarind
  • 2 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • a little - Asafetida
  • 1 tbsp - urad dal
  • 8-12 - red chilli

How to Make Ginger thokku

  • Wash the ginger, peel and cut into small pieces. Grind it with tamarind, salt and red chilli.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal and asafoetida powder.
  • Add ground paste and cook for 5 mins on a low flame.
