  • 200 g - ginger, sliced into small pieces
  • 200 ml - gingili oil
  • 1 cup - tamarind juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 50 g - jaggery
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds

How to Make Ginger Thokku with Tamarind Juice

  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and fry ginger till brown.
  • Grind fried ginger and keep aside.
  • Take 100 ml oil in a pan, roast mustard seeds; add tamarind juice and salt and boil.
  • Add ginger paste and boil till it thickens.
  • Add a little jaggery in the end. | | Serve with curd rice or dosas.
