Ingredients

  • 1 cup - maida or all purpose flour
  • 1/8 cup - besan
  • 2 - green chillies (grated)
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/4 cup - buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • A pinch of baking soda
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Goli Bajia

  • In a bowl, pour buttermilk, add salt, sugar, baking soda, cumin seeds, grated coconut, grated green chillies, maida and besan.
  • Make the batter a little thick. Keep it aside for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Spoon a small scoop of the batter into hot oil. Fry till done.
  • Enjoy this dish with coconut and coriander chutney especially when it is hot and crispy.
