Ingredients

  • 1 cup - thick poha
  • 6 tsp - sugar or 8 tsp jaggery
  • 2 cups - milk
  • 1/2 cup - fresh grated coconut

How to Make Gool Poha (Jaggery and Rice Flakes)

  • Pour 1 cup of milk into a deep dish or serving bowl.
  • Soak the poha in it for at least 15 mins.
  • When the poha is soft, add the jaggery or sugar and milk.
  • Stir well taking care not to break the poha flakes.
  • Combine coconut with this mixture.
  • For a thicker consistency use less milk.
  • Serve the gool poha cold or at room temperature.
