Ingredients

  • grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  • green chillies 3
  • garlic 6 flakes
  • ginger 2 cm
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • onion - 1 cup, chopped finely
  • capsicum - 1 cup, chopped (discard seeds)
  • shelled green peas - 3 cup
  • salt to taste
  • cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp

How to Make Green Peas with Capsicums

  • Grind coconut with green chillies, garlic and ginger to a coarse paste.
  • Heat oil in a Kadai, add onion. Fry till it is golden brown. Add the ground paste and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add the capsicums and green peas. Add 1 cup of water. Cover and simmer till the peas are tender.
  • Add salt. Simmer for 2 more minutes. If there is excess moisture, increase the flame and cook and stir till it is evaporated. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Mix well and remove from fire.
