  • 1 kg - guavas, ripe
  • 600 g - sugar
  • 2 tsp - citric acid
  • 4 drops green food colour

How to Make Guava Jam

  • Wash, peel, chop and pressure cook the guavas with half cup water.
  • Mash guava. Strain pulp, discard seeds.
  • Cook sugar and pulp on low, till sugar dissolves.
  • Cook and stir frequently, till mixture is thick.
  • Check consistency with plate test.
  • Add citric acid and colour.
  • Mix till well blended.
  • Fill in sterile jar. Cool and store.
