  • 2 cups - ripe guava chunks
  • 2 sticks - cinnamon
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1 tsp - lime juice

How to Make Guava Preserve

  • Boil the guava chunks with the cinnamon and pinch of salt in sufficient water till very soft.
  • Strain through a wire strainer and keep only the juice.
  • Throw away the seeds and the residue.
  • Pour the juice in a suitable pan and add the sugar, lime juice and a small stick of cinnamon.
  • Simmer till the sugar melts and the mixture thickens.
  • Cool and store.
