  • 250 g - jasmine rice or ponni rice
  • 1 inch - ginger
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • 2 - shallots, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 350 ml - chicken stock
  • 1tbsp - butter

How to Make Hainanese Rice (Singapore Style)

  • Heat butter in a cooker
  • Saute the chopped onions till translucent
  • Add the rice and fry for a while
  • Now add the chopped ginger and garlic, add chicken stock and required salt.
  • Cover the pressure cooker and cook for four whistles
  • Serve.
