Ingredients

  • 1 - bunch of iceberg lettuce
  • 10 leaves - Romaine lettuce
  • 1 - cucumber
  • 1 - tomato
  • 1 packet - low fat halloumi cheese
  • 1 tbsp - walnuts
  • 1 tbsp - lime juice
  • 1 tbsp - olive oil
  • 1 tsp - crushed black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Italian herbs

How to Make Halloumi Salad

  • Wash all the vegetables thoroughly.
  • Chop tomatoes and cucumber into medium-sized pieces. Place in a glass bowl.
  • Tear lettuce leaves into pieces with hands and add to the bowl.
  • Add walnuts.
  • Cut halloumi cheese into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add red chilli powder and herbs, add haloumi immediately.
  • Saute for 3-4 mins and add this to the bowl. Add lemon juice.
  • Mix everything well with a wooden spoon.
  • Do not add salt as halloumi cheese is quite salty.
