  • Puff Pastry Sheet – 2
  • Hazelnut Spread – 3 – 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Hazelnuts – 50 grams
  • Orange Marmalade – 5 tbsp
  • Golden Raisins – 50 grams
  • Butter – for greasing
  • Brown Sugar – as required

How to Make Hazelnut & Orange Marmalade Palmier

  • Dust the table top with flour.
  • Roll out 1 puff sheet, apply the hazelnut spread evenly all across it.
  • Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.
  • Roll from both ends to the center of the sheet. Apply little water at the edges to help it stick.
  • Take this sheet back to the chiller and rest for about 15 minutes. This helps the temperature to drop and solidify the butter (especially in hot and humid conditions).
  • Slice into 1 inch pieces.
  • Repeat the process with orange marmalade and golden raisins.
  • Spread it on a baking tray with enough spaces between each slice to rise and expand.
  • Bake it in a pre-heated oven of 4500F and bake for around 20 minutes.
  • Palmiers are delightful French pastries that can be served as an accompaniment to tea or coffee.
