Ingredients

  • 1 - potato, boiled and smashed
  • 1/4 cup - green moong, soaked and boiled
  • 1/4 - onion
  • 1.5 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tsp - jeera powder
  • salt to taste
  • For the Dough:
  • 1.5 cup - maida
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp - jeera
  • oil as required
  • cold water to knead
  • salt to taste

How to Make Healthy Kachoris

  • Heat oil in a kadai and saute onions. Add the smashed potato and green moong. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt.
  • Take lemon sized balls of the dough.
  • Stuff with a tsp of the filling.
  • Flatten the ball a bit and deep fry.
  • Serve hot with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
