  • Jaggery - 1 cup (grated)
  • Elaichi / Cardmom powder - 1/4 tsp

How to Make Healthy Puranpoli

  • Mix the dough with ghee and little salt and knead it well.
  • Cook the channa dal well, soft but not minced. Run this throw a sieve or muslin cloth.
  • In this mixture add the grated jaggery.
  • Cook this dal and jaggery mixture till it forms a mass. The mass is cooked when it leaves the sides of the vessel.
  • Now mix the pre-soaked and mashed sweet potato and cardomom powder.
  • Fill this mixture into the kneaded dough, one by one - like we make parathas.
  • Roll these mixture filled rotis one by one.
  • Cook on low flame, on both the sides.
  • Apply ghee and serve hot.
