Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - long grain rice (washed and soaked for 20 minutes)
  • 150 g - French beans (finely chopped)
  • 2 medium sized carrots (finely chopped)
  • 2 to 3 spring onions (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup - green peas
  • 1 capsicum (finely sliced)/ boiled chicken pieces
  • ½ tsp - aji-no-motto
  • salt to taste
  • ½ tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 to 2 tbsp - soya sauce ( or as required)
  • 4 to 5 tbsp - oil

How to Make Homemade Fried Rice

  • Parboil the rice in sufficient water with salt.
  • Drain out the water and keep aside in a open plate to cool completely.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick kadai.
  • Add the spring onions. Saute till transparent.
  • Add French beans, carrots and peas.
  • Saute for few minutes till the vegetables are tender but crunchy.
  • Add capsicums/ chicken pieces, rice, salt, pepper powder and ajinomoto.
  • Gently saute for 5 mins.
  • Add soya sauce and mix well. Remove and serve hot.
  • Note: Add boiled chicken pieces if you want to have chicken fried rice.
