  • 3 whole cloves
  • ½ inch stick of cinnamon
  • 1 litre water
  • 15 gms. tea
  • 50 gms. sugar
  • 75 ml. orange juice
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Few cinnamon sticks for serving

How to Make Hot Spiced Tea

  • In a pan, add the spices to the water and bring to the boil. Pour on to the tea in a bowl and allow to infuse for 5 minutes.
  • Stir, add the sugar and stir again until dissolved and add the strained fruit juices.
  • Place over a low heat and reheat but do not boil or even simmer. Strain and serve with cinnamon sticks.
