Hot Stuffed Almond Dates is a sugary dessert served usually during festive occasions. The dates filled up with a delicious mixture of almonds, pistachios, ginger, honey and cinnamon tastes heavenly. It is best served along with thick and creamy sauce topped on it.

  • 4 tbsp. ground almonds
  • 4 tbsp. ground pistachios
  • Pinch of ground ginger
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp. honey
  • 12-14 dates with the seeds removed
  • 120 ml. fresh cream
  • 10 ml. of fermented fruit syrup

How to Make Hot Stuffed Almond Dates

  • Mix together the ground almonds, pistachios, ginger and cinnamon.
  • Add the honey and mix well.
  • Fill the dates with the mixture and put into a shallow baking dish.
  • Cover with a cling wrap and cook on high for 2-3 minutes.
  • Meanwhile put the cream and the fruit syrup in a heatproof jug or bowl and microwave on high for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce is thickened.
  • Please note that the dates will be very hot and you should not eat them directly from the microwave, allow to stand while you make the sauce.
  • This is a lovely way to use the local dates as well as to impress your guests, especially if they are imported ones.
