Ingredients

  • 1 - whole chicken, cleaned and cut into small pieces
  • 400 g - mustard oil (or sesame oil)
  • 1 cup - vinegar
  • For grindingr: 8 - garlic flakes
  • 1 tsp - ginger paste
  • 3 - onions
  • 1 tbsp - red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • salt to taste

How to Make Indian Chicken Pickle

  • Heat the mustard oil in a pan until it emanates smoke.
  • Fry the chicken pieces golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
  • Add the ground paste in the same oil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the chicken pieces. Fry for 10 minutes.
  • Let the spiced chicken pieces cool. Add vinegar.
  • Store in an airtight jar.
  • Start using the pickle after a day.
