  • 1 cup - Potato (pieces)
  • 1/2 cup - Green peas
  • 1 - Onion (Chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Fennel seed powder
  • 2 tbsp - Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Assembling the calzone:
  • 1 - Pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup - Grated cheese
  • Few drops of oil

How to Make Indian Style Calzone

  • Heat oil, add the chopped onion with fennel seed powder, saute until it turns translucent.
  • Add the potato pieces, green peas, garam masala powder, red chilli powder with enough salt.
  • Stir everything for a while and sprinkle some water; simmer with lid closed.
  • Once the oil separates, add the chopped coriander leaves and turn off the stove and keep aside.
  • Assembling the calzone:
  • Preheat the oven to 350F.
  • Divide the pizza dough into two.
  • Spoon the potato-green peas masala onto half of the dough, sprinkle grated cheese over the masala, cover with the other half and give it a press with your fingers or with a fork.
  • Brush the calzone with few drops of oil.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot with salad or soup.
