  • 3 bunches - palak
  • 1 - onion (chopped finely)
  • 1 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 10 - green chillies
  • 1 cup - milk
  • 2 tbsp - cream
  • 1 tbsp - garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp - kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
  • 500g - diced paneer
  • 2 big - tomatoes (chopped finely)

How to Make Indian style Palak paneer

  • Clean and wash the palak nicely.
  • Chop palak and boil it. Add chopped green chillies and boil it for 10 mins.
  • Cool and grind it to a fine paste.
  • Roast kasuri methi on a tawa for half-a-minute and powder it by rubbing it between your palms.
  • In a kadai, fry onions till they are brown in colour.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and fry it for some time.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and fry till the oil shows up on top.
  • Add palak paste and kasuri methi and fry it.
  • Add milk, garam masala powder and 2 tbsp of cream and diced paneer to it.
  • Add salt. Cook for 5 mins.
  • Before serving, add 1 tbsp of butter (optional).
  • Serve it hot with parathas or naans.
