Ingredients

  • 1 cup - yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup - sour yogurt
  • 2 tsp - flax seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp - channa dal
  • 1 - green chilli, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - eno salt or baking soda
  • A few - curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Instant Flax Seed and Cornmeal idli

  • Heat few drops of oil, splutter the mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal
  • Add chopped green chillies, curry leaves, fry for few seconds
  • Meanwhile mix the cornmeal, sour yogurt, flax seeds in a bowl, add this tempered spices to them and finally add the eno salt
  • Stir quickly and pour enough batter to the greased idli plates
  • steam in idly cooker for 15-20 mins
  • Serve.
