Ingredients

  • 1 medium sized bunch - Palak
  • A small piece - Ginger
  • Green Chillies
  • 1 cup - Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 cup - Rice Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 - Onion, cut into small pieces

How to Make Instant Palak Dosa

  • Clean the palak and boil it with the ginger and green chillies for a few minutes.
  • Drain the palak (reserve the water) and grind to a paste.
  • In a bowl, take wheat flour, rice flour, salt, onion pieces. Add the palak paste. Add the cooled drained water to make a smooth dough loose enough to pour as dosa on a tawa.
  • Add plain cold water if needed.
  • Heat a non-stick tawa, apply a little oil on the tawa. When hot enough pour the dosa batter, around the edge of the tawa.
  • Flick the tawa around to allow the batter to spread evenly throughout.
  • Pour a tsp oil around the edges.
  • Take care to lower the flame of the gas, to medium. It would burn fast on a high flame.
  • Turn the dosa when done. It tastes great hot, with a blob of butter on it.
