  • 2 cups - milk
  • 2 - bread slices
  • 1/4 cup - condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp - sugar
  • Tsp - cardamom (elaichi) powder
  • A few saffron strands

How to Make Instant Rabdi

  • Remove the crusts of the bread slices and discard.
  • Grind the bread slices in food processor to make fresh bread crumbs.
  • Keep aside.
  • Bring the milk to boil in a heavy bottom pan.
  • Add the fresh bread crumbs, condensed milk and sugar and cook on a high flame, while stirring continuously (approx. 10 minutes).
  • Remove from the fire, add the cardamom powder and saffron and mix well.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve chilled.
