  • tapioca - 500 g
  • green chilli - 4
  • onion - 1
  • coconut milk - 1 cup
  • 1 tsp - ginger paste
  • coconut oil
  • curry leaves

How to Make Ishtu

  • Take a frying pan. Fry the onions in coconut oil till it is golden brown.
  • Add fresh ginger paste and curry leaves and slit green chillies.
  • Add the thin separated coconut milk and small pieces of tapioca to it.
  • Add sufficient water to cook tapioca.
  • Open the pan and mash the cooked tapioca.
  • Add thick coconut milk and salt to taste, leave it for a boil.
  • Serve hot Ishtu along with breakfast.
