Ingredients

  • 1 cup - white rice
  • 1/2 cup - frozen peas
  • 3 - bay leaves
  • 1 inch piece - cinnamon stick
  • 3 - cardamoms
  • 1 - stock cube - chicken or veg
  • 1 cup - milk
  • 2 tbsp - cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp - ghee or olive oil.

How to Make Jeera rice with peas

  • Heat oil and fry the spices for a minute.
  • Then add the rice and toss gently for 2 mins.
  • Add milk and 3 cups water along with the stock cube and salt.
  • When it boils, add the peas and simmer till the rice is cooked well.
