  • 1 - tapioca, chopped and cooked
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 3 - green chillies, slit
  • 1 tsp - ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp - grated coconut
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • Curry leaves
  • Coconut oil

How to Make Kappa Thoran

  • Heat enough coconut oil, splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal
  • Add the chopped onions, slit green chillies, grated ginger, curry leaves and cook until the onions turn translucent
  • Add the cooked tapioca chunks, turmeric powder and salt, cook everything in simmer until the tapioca chunks gets well coated with the spices.
  • Finally add the grated coconut, stir and serve.
