  • For the syrup :
  • 400 ml water
  • 100 gm. Sugar
  • Other Ingredients:
  • Juice of 4 oranges
  • Juice of 4 lemons
  • 300 ml. tea, strained through muslin
  • 1 medium sized fresh pineapple, peeled and coarsely grated
  • 2 litres water, well chilled
  • Chipped ice

How to Make Kentish Border Punch

  • Make the syrup by dissolving the sugar in the water and then bring to the boil.
  • Boil for 10 minutes and allow to cool. Mix together the syrup, fruit juices, tea, pineapple and leave to stand for 1 hour.
  • Add the chilled water and ice just before serving.
